<image:caption>“In some ways I think we’re both weaker and stronger having weathered this,” said Rowe. Demolition began on Saturday and is scheduled to be complete by Thursday. “We’re excited to be able to fully utilize the space with this new build, before we had to make do with the space we had, but we’re going to have much larger bays to work on cars as well as an updated showroom for our customers,” said Rowe.</image:caption>

<image:caption>“We lost a lot of our inventory during the tornado,” says Rowe, “I salvaged what I could that next morning, most of these boxes are beat up but the stereo systems inside are all functional.” Rowe has since faced issues with replacing his current inventory due to factory shut-downs as well as supply chain complications. “Before the storm, we were just getting back to where we were before the pandemic shut down a lot of our operation. By now we should have already had shipments of the latest models but we’ve still got inventory piled up from 2020,” said Rowe.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Marcellus Rowe founded Total Image Audio in the summer of 2001 and has served the community ever since. “If you can think of it, we’ve been through it,” said Rowe, “shortly after we opened came 9/11, then the recession in 2008 hit where we didn’t do more than break even until 2013, and now this.” Rowe’s business was one of many that faced destruction during the tornado that ravaged the heart of Bowling Green on Dec. 11, 2021. The structure of the building was irreparably damaged, causing Rowe and his employees to move to a temporary location while his business on the 31-W Bypass is being demolished and rebuilt from the ground up.</image:caption>

April 29. “We call it first light,” said Trish Quinn, “it’s the most exciting part of the whole process— being able to see your completed work in daylight for the first time. The whole time you’re making this piece you’re thinking about what it is going to look like in that first light.”</image:caption>
